How Shaved VaJayJays make for Brighter Days

Okay. Before you continue reading this, you have to pinky swear that You. Are. Gonna. Tell. Everyone.

Yeah. I mean it. Everyone.

If you’re reading my blog, then you’re already interested in my personal business.  And more than likely, you’re curious as to how my musings and life lessons about my personal business can help yours.

So here goes. This is major. Like pinky swear, double dare, we’re BFFs major.

I have a “personal lady parts clipper” that I use.  It comes with an assortment of interchangeable heads so you can get very precise cuts!  I like experimenting and trying new designs, so I put on the thinnest head possible so I could get into details.  When it was time to switch the heads, the current one refused to move.  I mean absolutely, super glue, dead bolted in friggin place!

The dilemma:  My art work was half done and looking quite….shall we say…Unfinished.

Le sigh. (I’m practicing my French).  So I banged it, I screwed it left, I screwed it right, I cursed, I yelled, I moaned, I even brought in other gadgets to get the job done and still…nothing.

After about 30 minutes of mayhem, I sighed, resigned myself and my half finished artwork to go and buy another one.  Then I picked it up and said in complete surrender….

“Is there an easy way, and I just don’t know how?”

Bam! As I looked down at it, I saw a perspective I never saw before.  With complete serenity and forgiveness, it yielded and the head popped right off.

FrigginWowzers, right?

Here’s the deal.  Not only did I get to finish my artwork….yesssss!!! (Napoleon Dynamite voice)

But I also had a sudden Eureka.  I did two things in that bathroom.

  1. I asked a question. I asked for help.
  2. I surrendered to the fact that I just don’t know.

When it comes to our bodies, the way we relate to it, the way we try to manipulate it with diets, the way we feed it, the way we love it or not, the way we honor it or not there is ONE thing that we often don’t do.

We rarely consult it for help. We rarely go within and ask our bodies with its innate wisdom what’s the best way to eat? What are the foods that serve its optimal functioning. How much rest does it need? Is the spin class at the gym really the best move, or does it prefer and respond better to Bikram yoga?

Our notions. Our opinions. Our learnings.

Often get in the way of our innate, divine knowing.  Surrender to the fact that you don’t know everything and you’ll find that you open up the way for more KNOWING to flow into your life and help you create the body you desire, encounter the fulfilling relationship you want, become the person your dog thinks you are and beyond.

Go ahead and ask. I promise the answer will reveal itself every time.

Now go and share this Vajayjay Wisdom

  1. Oh man, Shelley, this post made me laugh! It’s amazing though, isn’t it? How just taking a step back, accepting we don’t know something and asking for the answer will so often bring it to us (and hardly ever in the form we were expecting!)
