Shelley Chapman, The Food Relationship Coach™

Wait…foods have relationships?

They sure do!  Occasionally with each other, but primarily with you.

I am what happens when psychology and anthropology tango with a bona fide Foodie.

We women and our habits intrigue me, specifically our relationships with our food and our bodies.

I help you love yourself and your body

by teaching workshops, giving talks, and offering elite private coaching to women.  My clients are ready to learn and have that show up in the way they look and feel.

A woman is ready to work with me when

she finds herself in the Stuck-Stuffed-Starved™ cycle of eating habits.  My own challenges with compulsive over eating and emotional eating afford me the luxuries of compassion and relatability, but most important, the capacity to guide her to a fully satisfied emotional space.  Through my work, a woman gains tools for emotional wellness and freedom from emotional eating!

Once upon a time, I was

a personal chef, but my interests and skills steered me away from the dinner plate and on to the lifestyle of the woman who prepared the food.  Why?  Because that woman is eating more than tangible food—she’s eating emotional baggage, guilt, resentment, and other empty calories that create toxic spaces that stifle her overall wellness.

My studies at Spelman College and Harvard University served as the academic foundation for a lifelong personal passion—food/life connections.

If I were a 4-course meal, I’d be:

Appetizer:  Culinary Goddess.  Here’s where I remixed a traditional Jamaican breakfast.

Entrée:  Food Relationship Coach.  One-on-one coaching services designed to help women experience Belly Breakthroughs™ .  Here’s where we women discover how food, body, and wellness connect to all of our relationships. For always-on-hand support, indulge in my healing-focused digital resources such as BFF Formula™, a digital download crafted to help women heal from emotional eating.  Craving more online resources?  I offer global access to body and business brilliance through in-person and web-based sessions for women focused on mast(H)ery.

Dessert:  My in-person services.  Everything from dinner guest guessing games to Tantric Tastes is delivered and dished out to live participants.  My workshops and customized speeches help women connect their food experiences to their lives.  My sessions are interactive, highly customized and incredibly effective.  I’ve delivered for the highly lauded Harvard and Emory Universities, and provided wellness guidance to private women’s groups as a featured coach.

Nightcap: Global Citizen. Travel writer + Video journalist. I’ve explored 16 countries so far, and there’s much more globetrotting on my agenda. My extensive travel experiences allow me to view food and life from a rather unique perspective. In addition to my Amazon best seller, Tantric Tastes: Desserts for Lovers, I’m a regular contributor to Cuisine Noir magazine, and I highlight food-related events, chefs of color, and cuisine trends.  Online, my monthly webisodes, What She Ate and Belly Breakthrough Q +A, features women who have revolutionized their relationship with food to live better lives.  I’m bilingual, and I’m a mean salsa dancing queen!

So, that’s the scoop on me.  I’d love to learn more about your relationship with your food and how that’s been affecting your life.

Does your approach to food mirror your approach to life?

It absolutely does, and I’d be delighted to show you how.
